Dear Friends,

Please join us online for our Choral Eucharist, which you can watch at this link. This week the choir sing:

Mass setting: Mass in A Minor (Imogen Holst 1907-84)
Introit: If ye love me (Anthony Baldwin b1958)
Offertory: Immortal love for ever full (John Whittier 1807-92 sung to the tune Bishopsthorpe (St Paul’s) by Jeremiah Clarke c1673-1707)
Closing Anthem: A Prayer of St Patrick (John Rutter b1945)

Please join us in church on Thursday if it is safe for you to do so. We will be recording Choral Classics at 12.15pm followed by our Sung Eucharist at the usual time of 12.45pm.

A huge thank you to Tom Shorter

Tom joined St Stephen Walbrook over two years ago as Music Administrator. His contribution has been significant in terms of handling bookings for musical events including our long-standing Friday organ recital series and in liaising with promoters and performers. He has enthusiastically supported and help organise St Stephen’s own musical offering for our regular, festival and special services. Tom has performed at the Church in his own right as organist, singer and music director and has successfully inaugurated and directed St Stephen’s Community Choir. We are very sorry to lose him and wish him every success in the future including his new role with Apple Music. We hope to see Tom back at St Stephen Walbrook in the near future, either directing, performing or listening to future events and concerts.

Please keep in touch and do let me know if there is anything we can do to help.

WIth every blessing

Stephen
