In our Start:Stop reflection, we continue to explore the Gospel of Mark. This week we begin to focus on Jesus’s ministry of teaching and healing.

Jesus asked that those who received the benefit of his healing did not tell others. This plea for silence is known by theologians as the “Messianic Secret.” In our world of mass communication, keeping quiet about anything seems strange. The louder and wider Good News is broadcast the better. So why did Jesus want his healing ministry to remain under cover? Find out in this week’s Start:Stop reflection at this link.

Please join us on Thursday evenings in September via Zoom as we explore the gospel in more depth.
