This week our Start:Stop reflection is inspired by the life of Sundar Singh, an Indian holy man and teacher of the faith, who saw the necessity of presenting the Christian faith in an ‘eastern bowl’ rather than a ‘western vessel’.

The life of Sundar Singh provides a timeless example for the church of its expression of the faith in different cultural contexts. His knowledge of the fundamental truth that the gospel is for all should provide inspiration for us and for the church to develop the diversity of leaders who can represent Christ and, through the power of the Spirit, draw alongside those currently excluded from the church and teach and live the gospel in ways that turn hearts towards the one who lived, died and rose again for all.
